There was a new sensation in the early 60s when Chubby Checker invited everyone to dance to The Twist and Let’s Twist Again. Around the same time, the charts began to conquer a new style, born in America’s Detroit automobile heart (Motor Town) and dubbed “motown”. At the top of popularity were The Supremes, The Temptations, Marvin Ray, The Miracles, Mary Wells and “Kid” Stevie Wonder. Subsequently, Diana Ross from The Supremes and Stevie Wonder became a legend in the music industry.
