Definition of Rock Music (part 1)

Rock music (Eng. Rock music) – the generalized name of many areas of music. The word “rock” – rocking – in this case indicates the rhythmic sensations characteristic of these directions associated with a certain form of movement, by analogy with “roll”, “twist”, “swing”, “shake”, etc. Such signs rock music, such as the use of electric musical instruments, creative self-sufficiency (rock musicians are characterized by the performance of their own compositions) are secondary and often misleading.
